So eating here will probably go down as the first time I was robbed in Chicago! I ordered the burger and fries (burnt backyard burger served on paper plate), and watered down rum punch (served in a picnic cup). Bill was $37.50!! I seriously told the waitress she had the wrong tab, but nope that's what it totalled 😱. Now my bad for not looking at the prices first, but I just didn't expect to be shaken down for what was essentially a picnic lunch! Stay FAR AWAY!
Terrible service even for the airport.
Food and drink we're half decent, but the prices are insane. $17 for an 8oz cocktail in a plastic cup is kinda crazy and nowhere near as high quality as the price demands
Awful in every way. The breakfast tacos were composed of a thin sheet of egg, a tasteless half of sausage and some Pace Picante on a lukewarm tortilla. Our daughter’s oatmeal was water with a few oats. Then there was the Bloody Mary that cost $17, came in plastic cup and was unshaken. When asked about the obscene price, the waitress claimed it was a double—which we hadn’t asked for.
Service was excellent. I got a seat right away at the bar and enjoyed a very good “Benedict revised” for breakfast. The price of the food was reasonable and the portions were good. The drinks are expensive but it is an airport, after all. I enjoyed it and would definitely be back.
I got a beer and "Benedict revisited". The eggs benedict looked like it was a botched menu item from taco bell, but priced like it was a reputable brunch place. Beer served in a plastic cup and the food was served with a plastic fork and knife. Didn't even taste that great anyway.I could excuse this if it were cheap, but it's not. There's better food at Midway.
Service is ok, but the food is bad. Breakfast specifically- don’t go here.
Overpriced, took forever to get a servers attention and it was just a bad experience. Staff yells at each other all the time and there is more concern on their part to stand around and socialize and yell at each other than to work. I fly through midway often but won’t be back to this place. Ever.
I had two strong alcoholic drinks and nothing else. The waitress clearly thought if she didn't pick up my check with a $50 bill I was using to pay, she'd get a HUGE tip. No. I ended up digging through my change so that I could leave her money to cover my bill plus exactly 10% tip. I thought about stiffing her completely.I won't be back.
Over $20 for small lunch and slow service
Food was very tasty and the service was excellent. My only small complaint is that although they provided six potstickers, they weren’t very big, Especially for the price. However, they were tasty and very crispy, which I like.
Charged me for twice the number of drinks I had and served a burger rare when requested medium well, won’t be back.
Bar tender was very unhappy and not accommodating at all. Go anywhere else in Midway for a beer
Staff is friendly when they pay you any attention at all.. wait times for everything will make you miss your flight
Horrible. I had a 4 hour layover and was hoping for a good margarita and a sandwich .I got a good margarita and a soggy, tasteless sandwich. Lots of yelling from the kitchen. Be smart and look at these reviews before stopping in. Also, HIGHLY overpriced .
$20 for 1 Drink that was not even that good. I've learned my lesson and always ask for the price before ordering.
Came for a glass of wine. The glass was plastic. They delivered the wrong wine the first time. Pricey and the Canyon Road was not very good or worth the $10 fee (excluding tax and tip). Definitely avoid if you are in a time crunch, as service sucks.
I waited for more than 30 minutes before I gave up. The food looked terrible and the staff did not say hello let alone take my order. I’m glad after seeing other people’s bills. The bartender made 3 of the same drinks one at a time and had to look at the book. It looked like a tequila sunrise to me. The staff had no problem talking and acknowledging each other. The bar was empty but no place to sit with empty seats but counter was a mess from previous customers. I may not be the one to review since I did not buy anything or get any service. I was really trying to get a drink and some breakfast! I took my money elsewhere! I want to let others know to not waste your time or money!
Cocktails are ridiculously overpriced. Food is a tad much ($) as far as airport fare goes. However, I must say their Italian beef sandwich was legit af.
Paid $18 for a Bloody Mary in a plastic cup and everything was on plastic or paper and tasted like plastic or paper... our server was nice though.
Condescending waitress. Just keep walking.
We have been staring at the food on our table from the people before us for 20 minutes. We finally had to get up to find someone to help us place an order. Service is pathetic
I ordered a drink here on a layover. While the drink and the bartender were quite pleasant, I was overcharged. The drink was around $18.00 and I left $4 for a tip. However, my card was charged for $105.00!!! I tried to call them and dispute, and they will not answer. I filed a claim with my bank instead. Do not give them your credit card, you will get ripped off!
Food was overpriced, but to be expected as it’s at the airport. The fish in the fish tacos was not bad, but overall it wasn’t great. The rice wasn’t cooked. My service was fine, but I noticed all around me that they had one server to about 15 tables.
Worst meal in recent menory, dont eat here under any circumstance. Food was all cold and bland, service slow, zero stars
We waited and waited just to talk to our server. It took so long to get our order that we had to ask them to pack it to go. We gave the girl a decent tip because we figured the slowness of the kitchen wasn't her problem. We just got our bank statement. $5.00 more had been added. Isn't that against the law? We won't be back, and we fly through O'Hare regularly.
Waited for over 10 minutes at the register, asked one of the waitresses for help and they said someone would be over. No one ever came to take my order so I went to the Hubbard Inn and was helped immediately.
Drinks are overpriced
Ate here for breakfast during a layover. Service was prompt and courteous, and the food was pretty tasty, but loses a star for being a little overpriced even by airport standards.Had the "Benedict Revisited" which was very good. Bacon was good and crispy but not burnt, and the English muffin was perfectly toasted. Breakfast potatoes were nice and crispy with just the right amount of seasoning.Beer list could certainly be better for a a so-called "taproom" but there are still a few decent beers to choose from.
For airport food quality and price this is on par. Service was good from Katharin. Fried pickles were some of the better I've had, while the dumplings were just filling for my flight home to hold me over.
The entire staff yells across the restaurant to each other. They brought me the wrong breakfast sandwich. I have to catch flight so can’t wait around to correct it - not that anyone offered to. The yelling is really unsettling at 8am.
Just had lunch there between flights. Food is awful. Worst airport food I’ve ever had!!!
Maybe it’s overpriced but what more can you expect from an airport? The service at the bar was outstanding. All three bartenders were SO nice and attentive and funny! 10/10 would recommend
Worst pork belly sliders of my life. I could've eaten all the pork from three sliders in one bite, but somehow they managed to put a "taste" on each slider with a ton of cabbage and spicy mayo. Definitely don't order the pork belly!
Bartendar was amazing!!!! Food was the worst ever. We ordered the burger and fish tacos.
Food was bland and flavorless and the cocktails are $18.50 each! They don’t put the prices on the menu though so you just get to find out how overpriced your watered down cocktail was when they bring the check. This place is a scam and poor quality. Do not eat here.
Price and food quality is to be expected for the airport, burger was pretty good. They nickel and dime you for everything, want cheese on that burger, that's $1, want fries instead of chips, that's a $1.The staff is not great. Not all of them are bad, but a few of them. Not really nice to customers, like it's a chore to wait on you. They also talk badly about customers, I was sitting near the food pick up window.
I just waited for 20 minutes to talk to the server and left. They weren't even that busy.
Ridiculously over priced
Wow wow wow. What can I say. Two Dixie cups of wine and cold, moist chips. How much? Forty American Dollars. That’s a 4, and a 0, next to each other, left of the decimal. Didn’t expect to have a prostate exam this early, but here I am.
I always imagined my first taste of a hockey puck would be because one hit me in the teeth... not because it was served on a bun. The burger temperature was also not much higher than a hockey puck.. At least my server (Latoya) was very friendly and great at her job.
Service was horrible they made use set stool instead of in the dining area. And are food sat on the pick up counter for a good 10min. While other people's food was taking to them in the dining area. It wasn't intell the chef in the back came out and gave use are order. For two cold meals that where supposed to be hot I paid $41 this place is a joke. I don't recommended it.
Do not eat or drink here. $30 for a beer and bloody mary. Service terrible. Waited 20 minutes to order and 30 minutes to pay. Will never be back.
